Portfolio Highlights
Iris is the founder of Sol Journey: a coaching practice and podcast creating intentional spaces for first-generation Latinas and women of color to release survival mode, reconnect with themselves, and rise differently. She came to me showing up entirely through social media, with no website to anchor her story. With both a coaching practice and a growing podcast featuring powerful conversations with other Latinas and women of color, she was putting meaningful work into the world — with nowhere to send people.
The design challenge was about more than building a website. Sol Journey needed to function as a full platform: a place where her ideal client, a first-gen Latina who knows she's meant for more but needs guidance, clarity, and emotional safety to get there, could land and immediately feel: this was made for me. It needed to hold her coaching, her podcast, her community, and her story... all under one grounded, trust-building roof.

Every decision was made in service of one feeling: you are safe here, and you belong. The visual language needed to feel as expansive and grounding as the work itself — warm enough to open hearts, intentional enough to build trust.
→ A warm, earthy palette rooted in desert tones: colors chosen not for aesthetics alone, but to evoke the grounded, expansive feeling Iris's work creates. Calm without being quiet. Present without being loud.
Desert earth, not decoration
→ The site is structured around trust-building first. Iris's story, her podcast, and her community aren't tucked away: they're central, because for this audience, connection and resonance come before conversion.
Storytelling as the strategy
→ Coaching and podcast live together intentionally, reflecting the full ecosystem of Sol Journey. Visitors can go deep through free resources and community, or take the next step into coaching — all on their own terms.
A platform, not just a page
→ Language was treated as part of the visual identity. Weaving Spanish and English throughout wasn't just cultural: it was a direct signal to her ideal client that this space was truly built for her.

Sol Journey now has a digital home as intentional and expansive as the work Iris does.
A space that tells her story with depth, builds trust from the first scroll, and holds the full vision of where Sol Journey is going — coaching, podcast, community, and all.
